#6 of 9 hotels in Olympiapark & BMW Welt by Axel's take. Olympiapark & BMW Welt is #8 of 9 places to stay in Munich. The best hotels in Olympiapark & BMW Welt, ranked · Where to stay in Munich

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A comfortable, well-connected base with friendly staff, but some tired rooms. a practical 4-star chain hotel near Olympiapark, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star near Olympiapark is a strong pick for event trips and city breaks if you’re happy taking the tram into central Munich. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, comfortable rooms and varied breakfast. It delivers dependable mid-range comfort rather than luxury; Superior rooms add balconies, while junior suites offer extra space.

The main compromise is condition: worn, stained carpets recur in reviews, and some guests report housekeeping misses or noisy ventilation. The overall cleanliness picture remains positive, but don’t expect uniformly fresh interiors. Olympiapark is nearby rather than on the doorstep of every venue, and the old town is a tram journey away. Breakfast and garage parking cost extra. We’d choose it for practical comfort and transport links, but skip it for polished interiors or sightseeing entirely on foot.

  • Best for: Olympiapark concert and sports visitors; city-break travelers comfortable using trams; business travelers

  • Watch out for: worn or stained carpets in some rooms; occasional housekeeping and ventilation complaints; tram needed for central sightseeing

  • Location: Near Leonrodplatz trams; allow roughly 30 minutes on foot to Olympiahalle.

  • Rooms: Comfortable, air-conditioned rooms; Superior rooms have balconies, but carpet wear recurs in feedback.

  • Cleanliness: Generally positive across major sites, with some recent housekeeping lapses worth noting.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength, despite occasional exceptions.

  • Amenities: Buffet breakfast, a bar serving snacks, free Wi-Fi and EV charging cover the practical basics.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast, garage parking and pets carry extra charges; garage spaces cannot be reserved.
