#7 of 9 hotels in Olympiapark & BMW Welt by Axel's take. Olympiapark & BMW Welt is #8 of 9 places to stay in Munich. The best hotels in Olympiapark & BMW Welt, ranked · Where to stay in Munich

Axel's take: 7.6/10

A sensible budget base near Olympiapark, provided you can live with tight quarters. a no-frills 1-star hotel on the edge of Olympiapark, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 1-star is a good fit for a short Munich stay when you want straightforward accommodation rather than somewhere to linger. Olympiapark is nearby, and Oberwiesenfeld’s U3 station puts the center within easy reach. Recent Accor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise friendly staff, comfortable beds and a worthwhile breakfast; overall, it delivers the budget basics reasonably well.

The main compromise is space: rooms are compact, and the shower and sink sit in the sleeping area, limiting privacy. Recent Tripadvisor and Accor reviews reinforce that this works better for short stays than spreading out. Cleanliness feedback is mostly positive, but not uniformly so. Breakfast and parking cost extra. Also, the nearby Olympic Stadium is closed for renovation until 2029—not all park attractions are operating normally. We’d skip it for a spacious room or an old-town doorstep location.

  • Best for: budget-conscious short stays; Olympiapark visitors; travelers comfortable using the U-Bahn

  • Watch out for: compact rooms with limited shower privacy; breakfast and parking charged separately; Olympic Stadium renovation closure through 2029

  • Location: Near Olympiapark, roughly a 5–10-minute walk from Oberwiesenfeld U3; not a central sightseeing address.

  • Rooms: Compact, air-conditioned rooms; the shower-and-sink arrangement sacrifices privacy when sharing.

  • Cleanliness: Positive reports predominate, though recent Accor feedback includes some housekeeping lapses.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength across recent guest feedback.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, optional buffet breakfast, a snack market and terrace cover the essentials.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast, parking and pets carry extra charges; confirm parking arrangements before arrival.
