Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong short-stay base for Olympiapark, with clean rooms but limited space. a modern, design-led 3-star near Olympiapark, scored for what it is.

This modern, design-led 3-star in northern Munich is a strong pick for Olympiapark and BMW visits rather than doorstep Old Town sightseeing. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness and helpful staff, while recent Tripadvisor reviews describe comfortable, well-soundproofed rooms. We'd choose it for a straightforward short stay: air conditioning, a sociable lobby and a generally well-liked breakfast cover the essentials without pretending to be a full-service luxury hotel.

The main compromise is space. Recent guests flag compact rooms, limited storage and little useful workspace, making longer stays less appealing. The U-Bahn is roughly an 11-minute walk away, and the hotel puts the city centre about 30 minutes away by subway. Parking costs extra and spaces are limited; one recent Tripadvisor review also reports breakfast queues. We'd skip it if spacious rooms or central sightseeing convenience come first.

• Best for: Olympiapark and BMW visitors; couples on short city breaks; travelers happy using public transport

• Watch out for: compact rooms with limited storage and workspace; not a central sightseeing location; paid parking with limited spaces

• Location: Convenient for Olympiapark and BMW; roughly 11 minutes on foot to Oberwiesenfeld U-Bahn.

• Rooms: Modern, air-conditioned and generally quiet; compact layouts suit short stays better than extended visits.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff attract repeated praise across the major booking sites.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, lobby coworking tables, bar and buffet breakfast; no swimming pool.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra depending on your booking; parking and pets carry charges, and parking is not guaranteed.
