Axel's take: 8.1/10

A practical Munich base with strong transport links, but uneven room cooling A modern 4-star business hotel east of Munich’s city center, scored for what it is.

This modern 4-star business hotel is a strong pick if you want comfortable rooms and easy rail connections rather than an Old Town address. Expedia and HolidayCheck guests repeatedly praise the breakfast, helpful staff and comfortable beds; Booking.com’s overall picture is also positive on cleanliness and comfort. Nearby Leuchtenbergring station makes sightseeing practical, while the lobby bar and courtyard give you somewhere to unwind afterward.

The main reservation is temperature control: several 2026 guests across Tripadvisor and HolidayCheck report ineffective air conditioning, although others describe it working well. Street-facing rooms can also be noisy with windows open, so light sleepers should consider a courtyard room and check whether it costs extra. Parking and breakfast can add to the bill. We’d skip it if dependable summer cooling or walking straight into Munich’s historic center matters most.

• Best for: Business travelers; City-break visitors happy using public transport; Travelers prioritizing breakfast and comfortable beds

• Watch out for: Repeated reports of weak air conditioning; Traffic noise with street-facing windows open; Parking and some room-location upgrades cost extra

• Location: East of the historic center, with convenient S-Bahn and tram connections rather than doorstep sightseeing.

• Rooms: Modern, comfortable rooms; cooling reliability is the clearest recurring concern.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised across booking sites, despite some individual housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Helpful staff attract frequent praise, though some recent Tripadvisor guests report poor problem handling.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, courtyard, fitness center and free Wi-Fi; no pool.

• Fees and surprises: Paid underground parking and pet fees; check breakfast inclusion and any courtyard-room supplement.
