Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong Messe base, less compelling for a city-center break. A modern 4-star business hotel beside Munich’s trade-fair grounds, scored for what it is.

H4 München Messe is a modern 4-star business hotel that makes most sense when the exhibition grounds are your destination. We'd pick it for walkable Messe access, comfortable rooms and a breakfast buffet repeatedly praised on Tripadvisor, Expedia and HolidayCheck. Guests generally like the staff, and the included gym and sauna area are useful extras rather than reasons to travel here.

The main compromise is location: the U-Bahn and Riem Arcaden are within walking distance, but central Munich requires a journey. Overall cleanliness ratings remain strong, although several 2025–2026 guests report missed housekeeping, worn fittings or bathroom maintenance issues. Garage parking costs extra, and breakfast depends on your booking. It's a strong practical choice for exhibitors and conference visitors; we'd stay more centrally for a sightseeing-first trip.

• Best for: Trade-fair and conference visitors; Business travelers wanting a gym and sauna; Drivers comfortable staying outside the center

• Watch out for: Not a city-center location; Some housekeeping and room-maintenance inconsistencies; Paid garage parking

• Location: Excellent for Messe München; Messestadt West U-Bahn and Riem Arcaden are a short walk away.

• Rooms: Comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with coffee machines; some guests report worn fittings and bathroom faults.

• Cleanliness: Mostly praised across major sites, with a smaller recurring pattern of cleaning and housekeeping misses.

• Service: Staff usually earn praise, though problem handling is not consistently smooth.

• Amenities: Gym and sauna access included; restaurants, bar, free Wi-Fi and EV charging available.

• Fees and surprises: Garage parking and pets cost extra; check breakfast inclusion and confirm housekeeping arrangements.
