Axel's take: 8.7/10

A dependable El Poblado base with excellent staff, but check renovation status. An established mid-range business hotel in El Poblado, scored for what it is.

Four Points is an established mid-range business hotel in El Poblado, and a strong pick for comfort and convenience rather than cutting-edge design. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds, helpful staff and the generous breakfast buffet. Direct access to Oviedo mall makes restaurants, groceries and everyday errands particularly easy, with Santafé mall nearby. Included breakfast and parking strengthen the value, while an outdoor pool, sauna and spa give it more facilities than a basic city hotel.

The main caution is renovation work: two Expedia guests reported daytime construction and covered furnishings in August 2026; completion is unconfirmed. Ask which floors are affected before booking. The building has an older, traditional feel, despite generally positive maintenance reports. We'd skip it for a design-led stay or if guaranteed daytime quiet matters more than shopping convenience.

• Best for: Business travelers; Couples prioritizing comfort and shopping; Travelers who appreciate a substantial breakfast

• Watch out for: Renovation reported in August 2026; confirm completion; Traditional rather than contemporary styling

• Location: El Poblado shopping district, directly connected to Oviedo mall and near Santafé.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and spacious rooms draw praise; expect an established business-hotel feel.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff receive repeated praise, especially breakfast and housekeeping teams.

• Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, outdoor pool, gym, sauna, spa and Cook’s restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; airport transfers and pets cost extra; confirm renovation status.
