Axel's take: 9.0/10

Excellent basics and genuinely helpful staff, if Sabaneta suits your plans. a modern, select-service 3-star beside Mayorca mall in Sabaneta, scored for what it is.

This modern, select-service 3-star in Sabaneta is a strong pick for travelers who want clean, comfortable rooms rather than luxury extras. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, comfortable beds and included buffet breakfast; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness and comfort scores reinforce that picture. Being beside Mayorca mall makes shopping and casual meals easy, and free parking adds practical value.

The main compromise is geography: this is a base for the southern metro area, not a walk-out-the-door choice for El Poblado nightlife or central Medellín sightseeing. Metro access helps, but expect travel time. There’s a gym rather than resort-style recreation, and no pool. We’d choose it for business or a Sabaneta-focused stay; we’d skip it if most plans revolve around central attractions.

• Best for: business travelers in the southern metro area; shopping and Sabaneta visits; travelers prioritizing clean, dependable comfort

• Watch out for: travel time to central Medellín and El Poblado; no swimming pool; extra charges for pets and airport transfers

• Location: Beside Mayorca mall, with metro access nearby; better for southern-area plans than central sightseeing.

• Rooms: Modern, comfortable rooms; guest feedback on beds and overall condition is strongly positive.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest reviews, with particularly high Expedia and Booking.com category ratings.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff receive repeated praise across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews.

• Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, restaurant, gym and complimentary on-site parking; no pool.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; one small pet is permitted per room, with restrictions and a nonrefundable fee.
