Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong Cabo choice for spacious suites and oceanfront pools, not sea swimming. A luxury all-suite beachfront resort with timeshare ownership near Cabo’s marina, scored for what it is.

Grand Solmar Land’s End is a luxury all-suite resort with a timeshare component, and a strong pick for travelers wanting oceanfront relaxation within walking distance of Cabo’s marina. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the spacious accommodation, cleanliness and welcoming staff. Kitchens or kitchenettes make longer stays practical, while multiple pools and ocean-facing terraces are the main draw. It delivers a convincing upscale resort experience without isolating you from town.

The biggest catch is the beach: it’s for scenery, not swimming, because of dangerous surf. Timeshare pitches also recur in guest feedback, and some returning owners report tired room details, although the broader picture remains strongly positive. Check meal inclusions and bill-added gratuities rather than assuming everything is covered. We’d skip it if swimming in the sea or avoiding sales approaches is essential.

• Best for: Couples who prefer pools to ocean swimming; Families wanting suite space and kitchens; Longer stays near Cabo’s marina

• Watch out for: Beach is not suitable for swimming; Timeshare sales approaches; Check meal inclusions and added gratuities

• Location: Pacific beachfront at Land’s End, within walking distance of the marina and town.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with kitchens or kitchenettes and ocean-facing outdoor space; some guests flag aging details.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Tripadvisor and Expedia feedback.

• Service: Staff warmth earns repeated praise, though some guests report uneven poolside attention.

• Amenities: Seven outdoor pools, children’s pool, restaurants, fitness facilities and an oceanfront spa.

• Fees and surprises: Local tourism taxes apply; confirm meal coverage and check food-and-drink bills for included gratuities.
