A practical budget base with rooftop views, but uneven upkeep. a no-frills chain hotel on Cabo’s highway corridor, not a beach resort, scored for what it is.

Comfort Inn & Suites Los Cabos is a no-frills chain hotel on the highway corridor, not a beach resort. It’s a reasonable pick for travelers who prioritize included breakfast, parking and a comfortable bed over a polished vacation setting. Booking.com and Expedia guests regularly praise the staff, while the rooftop pool and bay views give this otherwise practical hotel some appeal.

The compromises are maintenance and location. Recent reviews mix clean, comfortable stays with complaints about aging bathrooms, unreliable Wi-Fi and occasional hot-water failures; upkeep is not consistently dependable. Breakfast generally earns its keep, but don’t count on a full-service restaurant. Plan on transport for downtown and beach outings rather than easy doorstep access. We’d consider it for a short, budget-conscious stay, but skip it for a car-free beach holiday or a special occasion.

• Best for: budget-conscious travelers with a car; short business or stopover stays; travelers who value included breakfast

• Watch out for: highway location away from the main tourist area; uneven maintenance and occasional hot-water problems; unreliable in-room Wi-Fi

• Location: In El Tezal on the highway corridor; better suited to driving than a walk-everywhere beach holiday.

• Rooms: Comfortable and reasonably spacious for the class, but bathrooms and fittings draw recurring upkeep complaints.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive overall ratings, with enough reports of stained linens and missed details to temper expectations.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are among the most consistent positives across booking sites.

• Amenities: Rooftop outdoor pool, gym, free Wi-Fi and included hot breakfast; confirm dining beyond breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as free; Booking.com separately lists an environmental fee and taxes, so check the final total.
