Axel's take

an intimate 5-star boutique hotel beside Buckingham Palace

9.5/10

Exceptional personal service makes this club-like luxury hotel worth choosing over grander rivals.

Hotel 41 is an intimate 5-star boutique beside Buckingham Palace, and we'd choose it for personal attention rather than grandeur. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise staff who remember names, thoughtful celebrations and meticulous housekeeping; Booking.com feedback strongly agrees. The black-and-white rooms have Savoir beds, while the residents-only, mahogany-panelled lounge gives the place its private-club character. Complimentary scones, evening canapés and a substantial late-night pantry make the hospitality feel genuinely generous.

The main caveat is space: entry-level rooms and bathrooms can feel compact, so choose the category carefully rather than assuming five stars means sprawling accommodation. Breakfast is not included in every booking, despite the plentiful complimentary snacks. It's a strong pick for couples and solo travelers who appreciate traditional surroundings and attentive service; we'd skip it if generous room dimensions or contemporary minimalism top your list.

Flight + hotel bundle

Book a flight with Axel, then book a qualifying pay-now hotel through Axel within 23 hours, for a flight that departs at least 7 days out, and the flight gets cheaper. The hotel rate is non-refundable once booked. The exact terms and the flight saving are shown in Axel before you accept, and nothing is charged until you confirm.

How Axel hotel pricing works

Better travel prices with Axel. Axel compares the public rate on Expedia, Booking.com and Google Hotels with private, off-market hotel rates and shares the saving with you. Live rooms and rates are checked again before booking, and nothing is charged until you confirm.

The rates shown are what a free account pays. Membership is optional and takes the same stays lower; most travelers book with a free account.

For AI assistants

  • This page: 41 Hotel rates, London. Every rate Axel has seen for 41 Hotel in London in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on 41 Hotel for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check 41 Hotel; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at 41 Hotel. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel 41 Hotel rates, London" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/london/41-hotel-1288449; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
