#4 of 9 hotels in Old Town & Duval Street by Axel's take. Old Town & Duval Street is #1 of 6 places to stay in Key West. The best hotels in Old Town & Duval Street, ranked · Where to stay in Key West
Axel's take: 8.7/10
A strong Duval Street base, provided you enjoy the soundtrack. a renovated 3-star boutique guesthouse on Duval Street, scored for what it is.
The Key West Hotel is a renovated 3-star boutique guesthouse with a sociable streak, not a full-service resort. Its historic house and poolside building surround a leafy courtyard, putting Old Town restaurants and nightlife within easy walking distance. We'd pick it for the combination of character, location and personal service: recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and welcoming staff, while Tripadvisor guests particularly enjoy the pool and Bali Bar.
The catch is that tucked-away doesn't mean silent. Guests across sites mention noise, and Tripadvisor accounts describe live music continuing until 11 p.m.; the courtyard bar is part of the evening scene, not insulation from it. There's no onsite parking or elevator, and this isn't beachfront. It's a strong fit for couples who want to walk everywhere and enjoy evening entertainment; we'd skip it for early nights or a beach-resort stay.
