#4 of 9 hotels in New Town & North Roosevelt by Axel's take. New Town & North Roosevelt is #5 of 6 places to stay in Key West. The best hotels in New Town & North Roosevelt, ranked · Where to stay in Key West

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong pool-and-parking pick, not a walkable Old Town or swimming-beach stay. a relaxed 3-star waterfront hotel in Key West’s New Town, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Courtyard in New Town is a strong pick for families and drivers who want space and pool time rather than a Duval Street doorstep. Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, comfortable rooms and cleanliness; the heated outdoor pool, hot tub and waterfront seating give it more vacation appeal than a typical Courtyard. Marriott confirms free parking and no resort fee.

The waterfront is for lounging, not swimming, and Old Town generally means a ride or bike trip. Room condition gets mixed feedback despite Marriott’s renovation claim, and September 2026 Tripadvisor guests still reported ongoing renovations, so confirm work and room placement before booking. Breakfast costs extra unless included in your reservation. We’d skip it for walk-everywhere nightlife or a proper beach holiday.

  • Best for: families needing larger rooms; drivers wanting free parking; travelers who prioritize pool time

  • Watch out for: non-swimmable waterfront; ride needed for Old Town; renovations reported in September 2026

  • Location: New Town on busy North Roosevelt Boulevard; better for driving or cycling than walking to Duval.

  • Rooms: Spacious rooms and family suites; condition varies, and the hotel’s Tripadvisor description says there are no elevators.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall guest scores, with occasional complaints about mustiness or hallway odors.

  • Service: Friendly, thoughtful staff are a recurring strength; breakfast service gets more mixed feedback.

  • Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, gym, Tiki Bar and waterfront boardwalk; beach is for sunbathing, not swimming.

  • Fees and surprises: Free parking and no resort fee; breakfast normally extra; confirm renovation status and any breakfast-package limits.
