Useful kitchenettes and friendly staff, but upkeep can be uneven. a no-frills 2-star extended-stay hotel with kitchenettes, scored for what it is.

Suburban Studios is a no-frills 2-star extended-stay hotel in Fort Myers, not a Cape Coral resort. It's a sensible budget base if you have a car and want to cook: kitchenettes, guest laundry and free parking make longer visits practical. Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean rooms, and its overall ratings suggest a generally good, rather than standout, stay for this class.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep. Several late-2025 and early-2026 reviews describe broken ice machines, while others mention musty carpets or TV problems; plenty of guests report no such issues. There's an outdoor pool, but no breakfast, and Expedia lists a check-in deposit. We'd consider it for a functional, self-catering stay and skip it if fresh interiors, dependable extras or a walkable vacation setting matter most.

• Best for: budget travelers with a car; longer stays with self-catering; work trips needing simple accommodation

• Watch out for: musty carpets in some rooms; recurring reports of broken ice machines; check-in deposit

• Location: On Metro Parkway in Fort Myers; better suited to driving than a walkable holiday.

• Rooms: Kitchenettes include a refrigerator, microwave and cooktop; some guests report dated carpets and maintenance problems.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised, though recent reports of musty carpets and occasional cleaning lapses show inconsistency.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, with some exceptions in complaint handling.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, guest laundry, free Wi-Fi and free parking; no breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a per-stay deposit and extra charges for late checkout and rollaway beds; pets are not accepted except service animals.
