Axel's take: 8.0/10

A strong budget stopover, with friendly staff and occasional musty rooms. a no-frills 2-star hotel near I-75 and the airport, scored for what it is.

Quality Suites Fort Myers I-75 is a no-frills 2-star hotel that makes a strong case for a short, practical stay. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean, roomy accommodations, helpful staff and the included hot breakfast. Nearby restaurants and straightforward access to I-75 and Southwest Florida International Airport add convenience; free parking, microwaves and refrigerators help keep it good value.

The main reservation is room freshness: several Expedia guests and a recent Trip.com reviewer mention musty or unpleasant smells, despite otherwise positive cleanliness feedback. This is a functional roadside base, not a beach escape. We'd choose it for an airport overnight or road-trip stop, but skip it if you're sensitive to odors or want a walkable vacation setting.

• Best for: budget-conscious airport stopovers; I-75 road trips; short stays with a car

• Watch out for: occasional musty room smells; car-dependent location away from the beach; check-in deposit and pet charges

• Location: Convenient for I-75, the airport and nearby restaurants; beach visits require a drive.

• Rooms: Generally roomy, with microwaves and refrigerators; some guests report unpleasant odors.

• Cleanliness: Positive overall, with repeated praise on Expedia and Booking.com.

• Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are a consistent strength in guest feedback.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking; seasonal outdoor pool, exercise room and guest laundry.

• Fees and surprises: A check-in deposit is required; pets incur additional charges, and cash is not accepted.
