Axel's take: 6.2/10

Convenient for a short stop, but room quality is too uneven for an easy recommendation. a basic 2-star roadside motel on US 41, scored for what it is.

This is a basic 2-star roadside motel, not a full-service hotel. Its strongest case is convenience: restaurants and shopping nearby, free parking, Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool. Recent Expedia guests often praise helpful staff and comfortable beds, and some report clean, well-functioning rooms. It can work for a short, budget-minded stop if you accept an aging property.

The catch is consistency. Tripadvisor guests in early 2026 describe dirty floors, tired bathrooms and thin walls, alongside positive reports of clean rooms and friendly service. Other guest feedback includes musty smells and pest complaints; these are not every guest’s experience, but deserve attention. Request a non-smoking room explicitly, confirm breakfast rather than assuming it, and expect a deposit. We’d skip it for a longer vacation or if dependable housekeeping is your priority.

• Best for: budget-minded motorists; short stays near shopping and restaurants

• Watch out for: uneven housekeeping and room condition; noise, musty smells and pest reports; smoking rooms and a required deposit

• Location: On US 41 near dining and shopping; a driving base, not a beachfront stay.

• Rooms: Exterior-corridor rooms are dated; comfort and maintenance vary, and smoking rooms remain available.

• Cleanliness: Many recent guests report clean rooms, but dirty bathrooms, floors and pest complaints prevent a confident endorsement.

• Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are a recurring positive, though not every guest agrees.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and parking; confirm microwave, refrigerator and breakfast availability directly.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a stay deposit, plus additional charges and restrictions for dogs.
