Axel's take: 9.1/10

A standout practical base, with spacious suites and consistently strong housekeeping. a 3-star all-suite hotel built for longer stays, scored for what it is.

This 3-star all-suite hotel is a strong pick for families and longer stays: practical comfort rather than resort atmosphere. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, friendly staff and generous room sizes; Booking.com feedback backs that up. In-suite kitchens, including refrigerators, microwaves and dishwashers, make everyday meals easier. Free breakfast and parking add useful value, while the heated outdoor pool gives families somewhere to unwind.

The main compromise is location: Hilton puts the River District four miles away and the beaches about 15 miles away, so we'd plan on driving. There is no airport shuttle, and pets incur a nonrefundable fee. We'd skip it for a walkable downtown break or beach-first vacation, but it's an excellent fit for travelers prioritizing space, clean rooms and useful basics.

• Best for: families with a car; extended stays; business travelers wanting kitchen facilities

• Watch out for: beaches about 15 miles away; no airport shuttle; nonrefundable pet fee

• Location: A driving base four miles from the River District, not a downtown or beachfront stay.

• Rooms: Guests consistently praise spacious suites; kitchens include a refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Booking.com feedback.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise across several review sites.

• Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking, plus a heated outdoor pool, gym, laundry and grills.

• Fees and surprises: Pet fees rise for longer stays; Hilton lists a two-pet limit and maximum weight of 35 pounds.
