Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong practical base, with praised staff and cleanliness rather than vacation atmosphere. a limited-service chain hotel with breakfast included, best explored by car, scored for what it is.

This limited-service Hampton is a strong pick for a straightforward Fort Myers stay, especially with a car. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while Tripadvisor’s overall rating is particularly strong. Free hot breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi make it good value for its class; the outdoor pool and gym round out the essentials.

The compromise is the setting: this is an inland base, not a beach hotel or a walkable downtown stay. Recent feedback includes occasional maintenance issues and noise from air-conditioning or elevators, so light sleepers should request a room away from the lifts. One June 2026 Tripadvisor guest reported prolonged hot-water interruptions; that is concerning, but not a recurring pattern across the sources checked. We'd choose it for practical trips, not a resort-style escape.

• Best for: business travelers with a car; families wanting breakfast included; short Fort Myers visits

• Watch out for: Driving needed for beaches and downtown; Occasional equipment or elevator noise; Isolated June 2026 hot-water complaint

• Location: Off Colonial Boulevard, five miles from the River District; Hilton estimates beaches are a 30-minute drive.

• Rooms: Generally praised as spacious and comfortable, with refrigerators and microwaves; occasional maintenance and noise complaints.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest sources, despite isolated negative reports.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, although a few guests report poor problem handling.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast and Wi-Fi, outdoor pool, fitness center and on-site EV charging; no airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking is free; Hilton permits dogs and cats with a nonrefundable pet fee.
