Axel's take: 8.5/10

A dependable Fort Myers base with standout staff, refreshed rooms and free parking. a renovated, full-service 4-star beside Bell Tower Shops, scored for what it is.

This renovated, full-service 4-star is a strong pick for a practical Fort Myers stay rather than a beach vacation. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms, while the renovation reported complete in early 2025 refreshed the lobby, restaurant and meeting areas. Free parking, a heated outdoor pool and Shoeless Joe’s Sports Cafe make it an easy base for work trips, family visits or spring-training outings.

The trade-off is the setting: restaurants and a cinema are walkable, but downtown and the beaches require transportation. Breakfast generally costs extra, and Hilton currently lists no airport shuttle despite older listings suggesting otherwise. Also ask about the neighboring Hampton Inn & Suites construction, listed by the tourism bureau for an early-2027 opening; its current noise impact is unconfirmed. We'd skip it for a car-free beach break.

• Best for: business travelers with a car; spring-training visitors; families visiting Fort Myers

• Watch out for: beaches require transportation; breakfast usually costs extra; no airport shuttle; neighboring Hampton construction—confirm current impact

• Location: Walkable dining and cinema at Bell Tower; better suited to driving than a beach-focused stay.

• Rooms: Renovated rooms draw mostly positive comfort feedback; expect practical chain-hotel accommodation, not luxury.

• Cleanliness: Recent Expedia reviews strongly favor clean rooms, with occasional exceptions rather than a consistent problem.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

• Amenities: Hilton confirms a heated outdoor pool, fitness center, restaurant and free Wi-Fi—not an indoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking is free; breakfast generally extra; Hilton lists no airport shuttle. Confirm neighboring construction.
