Axel's take: 7.9/10

Big views and good breakfasts make this a practical pick, with some comfort compromises. a renovated 4-star conference hotel with a casino, just outside the historic center, scored for what it is.

This large 4-star conference hotel is a good choice for travelers who want modern rooms and skyline views rather than boutique character. Its rooms and lobby were refurbished in 2024, and recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds, helpful staff and the generous breakfast. Islands Brygge metro is a short walk away, making the location practical even though the historic center isn't on your doorstep.

The trade-offs are room temperature, noise and uneven housekeeping. Several recent Tripadvisor guests describe warm rooms and ineffective cooling; Expedia also has reports of warmth and sound carrying between rooms. Cleanliness feedback is mostly positive on Expedia, but Tripadvisor shows repeated lapses worth weighing. Breakfast can get crowded, and parking and breakfast cost extra unless included. We'd skip it if reliable cooling, quiet or consistently polished service are priorities.

• Best for: business and conference travelers; city-break travelers comfortable using transit; travelers who enjoy skyline views

• Watch out for: warm rooms and uncertain cooling; noise between rooms or from traffic; uneven housekeeping

• Location: About 400 meters from Islands Brygge metro; convenient transport, but outside the historic core.

• Rooms: Refurbished in 2024; comfortable beds and appealing views, with recurring warmth and noise complaints.

• Cleanliness: Strong Expedia feedback overall, tempered by repeated recent Tripadvisor housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn frequent praise, though check-in and problem handling can be inconsistent.

• Amenities: Restaurants, bars, a casino and a well-equipped 24-hour fitness club; breakfast is a recurring highlight.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking may be extra; check inclusions and parking-payment instructions carefully.
