Hotel Phillips is a historic 4-star downtown hotel whose Art Deco lobby and basement P.S. speakeasy give it more personality than a standard business stay. We'd pick it for a theater weekend, Power & Light nightlife or a convention without much driving. Expedia's recent guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms; Tripadvisor guests also appreciate the character and central location.
The catch is uneven upkeep rather than a lack of charm. Across Expedia and Tripadvisor, guests describe worn furnishings, tired bathrooms and maintenance issues, alongside plenty of satisfying stays.
