Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong UVM base with refreshed rooms, helpful staff and useful shuttle service. a full-service 4-star conference hotel near UVM and the airport, scored for what it is.

This full-service 4-star conference hotel is a strong pick for UVM visits, family stopovers and meetings rather than a downtown Burlington getaway. Its expansion and room renovation were unveiled in April 2026, making older complaints about tired bedrooms less relevant. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff; Tripadvisor guests also highlight the welcome and shuttle. Free parking, complimentary airport and local transportation, an indoor pool and two restaurants make it a practical base.

The main compromise is location: Church Street and the waterfront are a drive or shuttle ride away, not right outside. This is also a large, multiwing property rather than an intimate hotel, so request a conveniently located room if walking distances matter. Breakfast generally costs extra, and pets incur a fee. We'd skip it for a walk-everywhere city break, but recommend it for convenient, well-equipped stays near campus.

• Best for: UVM visits; families wanting an indoor pool; conference and airport travelers

• Watch out for: Not in downtown Burlington; Large, multiwing layout; Breakfast usually costs extra

• Location: Convenient for UVM and the airport; downtown is a short drive or shuttle ride away.

• Rooms: New and renovated rooms unveiled in April 2026; recent guests praise comfort and space.

• Cleanliness: Strong recent Expedia feedback outweighs scattered housekeeping complaints on Tripadvisor.

• Service: Helpful staff and shuttle drivers receive repeated praise across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, fitness center, two restaurants, free Wi-Fi and complimentary airport/local shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking is free; breakfast generally costs extra, and a nonrefundable pet fee applies.
