Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong practical pick for shopping trips and airport stopovers, with a few rough edges. a no-frills, limited-service hotel near Walden Galleria and Buffalo airport, scored for what it is.

This no-frills Hampton is a strong pick for a shopping weekend or airport stopover, rather than a downtown Buffalo break. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and convenient shopping access; friendly staff also earn plenty of positive mentions. Free hot breakfast, parking and an airport shuttle make it good value for travelers who want the basics covered, while the indoor saltwater pool adds a useful extra.

Expect practical comfort, not a uniformly fresh finish. Expedia lists rooms renovated in 2025, but some later guests still describe wear, and weak shower pressure crops up across review sources. Breakfast feedback is mostly positive but not consistent. We'd choose it for convenience and included essentials; we'd skip it for a polished hotel experience or a walkable city-center stay.

• Best for: Walden Galleria shopping weekends; Airport stopovers; Families wanting included essentials

• Watch out for: Some lingering wear despite reported renovations; Occasional weak shower pressure; Not a downtown sightseeing base

• Location: Off I-90 near Walden Galleria; convenient for shopping and airport access, less suited to a city-center stay.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds draw praise; Expedia lists a 2025 renovation, though later reviews still mention wear.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength overall, supported by positive guest feedback and strong cleanliness ratings.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive frequent praise, with some exceptions around problem handling.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, indoor saltwater pool, fitness center and complimentary airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Standard self-parking is free; pets incur a nonrefundable fee, Park and Fly parking is separate, and EV charging is off-site.
