Axel's take: 8.4/10

Roomy renovated suites and a strong breakfast make this a practical downtown pick. a renovated, all-suite 3-star in downtown Buffalo, scored for what it is.

Embassy Suites Buffalo is a mid-range, all-suite hotel in the downtown Avant building, and it's a strong pick for travelers who want space and useful extras rather than luxury. Owner Uniland says renovations to every suite and the public areas finished in spring 2026. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests praise the roomy layouts, helpful staff and cooked-to-order breakfast. The included evening reception adds value, and restaurants and the free downtown light rail are within walking distance.

The main weakness is consistency: despite broadly positive cleanliness feedback, housekeeping misses still crop up across both sites, including incomplete servicing and overlooked floors. Breakfast can get busy, and hotel parking is paid valet only. We'd choose it for family trips or downtown business stays, but skip it if meticulous daily housekeeping or free parking is essential.

• Best for: families wanting extra space; downtown business travelers; travelers who value an included breakfast

• Watch out for: occasional housekeeping misses; paid valet-only hotel parking; busy breakfast periods

• Location: Central downtown address near restaurants and theaters; three blocks from the free light rail.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with microwaves and mini-fridges; all suites renovated by spring 2026.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent feedback, but missed cleaning details and incomplete servicing recur.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff earn frequent praise; follow-through on requests is less consistent.

• Amenities: Included cooked-to-order breakfast and evening reception, indoor pool, gym and Italian restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Hotel parking is paid valet only; Hilton lists no airport shuttle or EV charging.
