#4 of 9 hotels in Usaquen by Axel's take. Usaquen is #8 of 9 places to stay in Bogota. The best hotels in Usaquen, ranked · Where to stay in Bogota

Axel's take: 8.7/10

Strong service and comfortable rooms make this a smart luxury pick, despite some wear. a design-led 5-star hotel in Bogotá’s northern Usaquén district, scored for what it is.

W Bogotá is a design-led 5-star in Usaquén, and we'd pick it for attentive staff, comfortable rooms and a serious gym rather than easy access to downtown sights. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the personal service and cleanliness; their strong overall ratings support the enthusiasm. Nearby restaurants and shopping make the northern location convenient for business trips or a stay centered on Usaquén.

The polish isn't uniform: recent reviews on both sites describe worn furnishings, while breakfast service gets mixed reports. Management reported renovations in May 2026, but their current scope and completion remain unclear—check before booking. Also, the advertised pool is a spa hydrotherapy pool, not a conventional swimming pool for family play. We'd skip it if your priority is walking to historic-center museums or getting flawless, freshly finished luxury throughout.

  • Best for: business travelers staying in northern Bogotá; couples who enjoy bold hotel design; travelers who prioritize a gym and spa

  • Watch out for: longer journeys to historic-center sights; some worn furnishings; renovation status unclear; hydrotherapy pool rather than a conventional swimming pool

  • Location: Usaquén restaurants and shopping are nearby; downtown sightseeing requires transport.

  • Rooms: Comfort and space earn praise, but some guests report tired furnishings and awkward layouts.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across reviews, including Expedia’s strong cleanliness rating.

  • Service: Personal attention is a standout, with occasional check-in, breakfast and booking-coordination lapses.

  • Amenities: Well-regarded gym, AWAY Spa, dining and a hydrotherapy pool—not a standard swimming pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion varies; pets and airport transfers cost extra. Confirm parking terms and renovation status.
