Axel's take: 6.7/10

Useful for an airport stop, but housekeeping and hot water need more consistency. a no-frills budget hotel in Fontibón, near Bogotá’s airport, scored for what it is.

Ayenda 1063 Golden is a no-frills budget hotel in Fontibón, better suited to an airport stop than a Bogotá sightseeing base. We'd consider it for a short, practical stay, with reservations about the basics. Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and nearby cafés and shops; Booking.com also rates service above the hotel's other categories. Some rooms offer generous space for the money.

The catch is consistency. Reviews across sites repeatedly mention unreliable hot water, bathroom maintenance and uneven cleaning, including complaints continuing into 2026. Thin walls also make the advertised soundproofing worth treating cautiously. Breakfast gets mixed feedback, and Ayenda lists both breakfast and airport transfers as extras. We'd skip it if dependable cleanliness, a hot shower or uninterrupted sleep matters more than airport convenience.

• Best for: budget-conscious airport stopovers; short stays around Fontibón and Zona Franca

• Watch out for: recurring hot-water and bathroom problems; inconsistent housekeeping; thin walls and noise

• Location: Practical for El Dorado and Fontibón businesses; less convenient for central sightseeing.

• Rooms: Some spacious rooms and comfortable beds, but maintenance and sound insulation are inconsistent.

• Cleanliness: Plenty of positive reports, alongside repeated recent complaints about bathrooms, walls and bedding.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength, particularly with arranging airport transport.

• Amenities: Officially lists Wi-Fi, restaurant, elevator and 24-hour reception; breakfast feedback is mixed.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast, airport transfers, laundry and small pets carry extra charges; confirm breakfast availability.
