Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong airport stopover, provided the shuttle hours fit your flights. a practical, select-service airport hotel, not a full-service luxury Hilton, scored for what it is.

This is a practical, select-service airport hotel rather than the full-service Hilton its four-star listing might suggest. We'd pick it for a comfortable stopover: recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms and helpful staff, while Tripadvisor guests also highlight comfortable beds and a varied breakfast. Included hot breakfast, free parking and the top-floor Sky Lobby make it more appealing than a purely functional overnight stop.

The main catch is timing: Hilton lists the free airport shuttle every 30 minutes from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., not overnight. Arrange pickup ahead rather than assuming a van will be waiting. This is also an airport-corridor base, not somewhere to step straight into Bogotá's historic sights. We'd skip it for a sightseeing-first stay or if round-the-clock airport transport is essential.

• Best for: overnight airport stopovers; short business trips; travelers wanting breakfast and parking included

• Watch out for: airport shuttle runs 5 a.m.–11 p.m.; arrange airport pickup ahead; not a walk-out historic-center location

• Location: On the airport corridor, about five kilometers from El Dorado; better for flights than historic-center sightseeing.

• Rooms: Straightforward, comfortable rooms; recent guests praise the beds and condition rather than luxury extras.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength, supported by recent guest feedback and strong cleanliness ratings.

• Service: Recent Expedia reviews repeatedly praise helpful, welcoming staff; Tripadvisor's overall assessment is more mixed.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking, a gym and top-floor dining; expect select-service facilities.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and the scheduled shuttle are complimentary; confirm pickup arrangements and which taxes your booking includes.
