Axel's take

a straightforward 4-star beside the Sagrada Família

8.0/10

Stay for the Sagrada Família views, not a polished luxury experience.

Sercotel Rosellón is a straightforward 4-star in Eixample whose biggest asset is its rooftop view of the Sagrada Família. It's a strong pick for sightseeing: the basilica, metro and neighborhood restaurants are close, and guests on Booking.com and Expedia consistently praise the location, helpful staff and breakfast. Overall guest ratings remain strong, and cleanliness feedback is mostly positive. We'd choose it for the setting rather than the room design.

The rooms are less special than the terrace. Basic categories face an interior courtyard; book an explicitly named view room if the basilica matters. Recent Tripadvisor guests report recurring wear and maintenance shortcomings, plus occasional street noise and temperature-control frustrations. Reserve ahead for rooftop drinks rather than assuming a table is guaranteed. We'd skip it if immaculate finishes and reliably adjustable cooling are priorities.

Best for

  • Gaudí-focused sightseeing
  • couples prioritizing rooftop views
  • travelers using the metro

Watch out for

  • Basic rooms overlook an interior courtyard
  • Uneven room upkeep and temperature control
  • Rooftop tables require planning
Location
A short walk from the Sagrada Família and its metro station, with restaurants nearby.
Rooms
Basic rooms are compact at 16 m²; designated basilica-view rooms offer the stronger experience.
Cleanliness
Generally well rated, though some recent Tripadvisor guests flag bathroom grime and neglected details.
Service
Helpful reception staff earn frequent praise; complaint handling is less consistent.
Amenities
Rooftop dining and drinks, buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi and on-site parking are the main practical offerings.
Fees and surprises
City tax is collected at the property; parking and breakfast may cost extra, and rooftop drinks require reservations.

  • This page: Sercotel Rosellon rates, Barcelona. Every rate Axel has seen for Sercotel Rosellon in Barcelona in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on Sercotel Rosellon for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check Sercotel Rosellon; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at Sercotel Rosellon. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel Sercotel Rosellon rates, Barcelona" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/barcelona/sercotel-rosellon-1143042; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, give the traveler’s email when asked, fill the traveler-provided details and reach payment. Pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the checkout link so the traveler signs in with the email code and pays. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
