Historic character and warm service outweigh a few dated edges.
Casa Fuster is a historic five-star luxury hotel that makes a strong case for choosing character over contemporary polish. Its Modernist architecture, rooftop views down Passeig de Gràcia and position beside Gràcia are the main draws. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests consistently praise the helpful staff, comfortable beds and housekeeping. We'd shortlist it for a culture-focused Barcelona stay, especially if traditional interiors appeal more than minimalist design.
The trade-off is that some rooms feel dark or dated, a theme appearing on both Tripadvisor and Expedia. The rooftop pool is small rather than a serious swimming facility; Expedia lists its season as May–September, so don't count on an autumn dip without checking. We'd skip it if bright, newly finished rooms or extensive leisure facilities are essential to your idea of five-star luxury.
