A practical East Legon base, but current room standards need checking. A simple independent hotel in East Legon, scored for what it is.

Ampomaah is a simple independent hotel in East Legon, best considered for local business or a straightforward stay near A&C Mall. We'd shortlist it for convenience rather than polish. Older Expedia and Tripadvisor guests praise helpful staff and roomy accommodation, while the official website lists air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and conference facilities. Overall guest ratings are broadly positive, but recent, detailed reviews are limited.

The uncertainty is upkeep: older reviews flag worn bathrooms and inconsistent Wi-Fi, and Google's review themes also show bathroom concerns. Those reports don't establish today's condition, but we'd request current room photos before committing. Expedia lists no elevator and a charge for airport pickup. Skip it if reliable work connectivity, step-free access or consistently fresh interiors are essential.

• Best for: Business travelers visiting East Legon; Short stays near A&C Mall

• Watch out for: Limited recent detailed guest feedback; Bathroom condition and Wi-Fi need checking; No elevator

• Location: East Legon location within walking distance of A&C Mall; useful for nearby business.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned standard, executive and twin rooms; older feedback raises bathroom-upkeep concerns.

• Cleanliness: Historically more positive than negative, but recent room-level evidence is insufficient.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength in older reviews and Google's review themes.

• Amenities: Restaurant and conference facilities confirmed by the hotel; Expedia also lists breakfast, gym and free parking.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists paid airport pickup, limited parking requiring advance arrangement, and no elevator.
