#1 of 2 hotels in Cantonments & Labone by Axel's take. Cantonments & Labone is #3 of 7 places to stay in Accra. The best hotels in Cantonments & Labone, ranked · Where to stay in Accra

Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong Cantonments base for apartment space, cleanliness and attentive staff. An upscale serviced-apartment hotel in Cantonments, scored for what it is.

Bel Air Crest, now operating as The Vynyard, Accra, is an upscale serviced-apartment hotel rather than a basic three-star. We'd pick it for longer stays: separate living areas and proper kitchens make the accommodation genuinely practical. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean apartments and friendly staff, with 2026 Expedia reviews also highlighting the gym and quiet pool area. It's a strong choice for travelers who want room to settle in rather than a conventional hotel bedroom.

The trade-off is a residential base, not a beachfront resort or nightlife-on-your-doorstep stay. Plan on rides for much of your sightseeing. Booking.com's Wi-Fi subscore is noticeably weaker than its room and staff scores, so confirm connectivity if work depends on it. Breakfast inclusion and airport-transfer terms also need checking against your specific booking.

  • Best for: Business travelers in Cantonments; Longer stays with self-catering; Families wanting apartment space

  • Watch out for: Not beachfront; Wi-Fi scores lag other categories; Confirm breakfast and transfer inclusions

  • Location: Residential Cantonments setting with some nearby restaurants; rides are useful for exploring Accra.

  • Rooms: Spacious apartments with kitchens and separate living areas are the main attraction.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently praised across Tripadvisor and Expedia, including recent stays.

  • Service: Warm, helpful staff attract repeated praise; occasional management criticism is not the dominant picture.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, free parking and Wi-Fi; recent guests praise the pool and gym.

  • Fees and surprises: Now called The Vynyard; breakfast can cost extra, and booking sites disagree on airport-transfer charges.
