#2 of 9 hotels in East Legon by Axel's take. East Legon is #6 of 7 places to stay in Accra. The best hotels in East Legon, ranked · Where to stay in Accra

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A useful East Legon business base, with welcoming staff but uneven room standards. an independent 3-star business and conference hotel in East Legon, scored for what it is.

AH is an independent 3-star business and conference hotel in East Legon, best suited to travelers with meetings nearby. We'd consider it a good practical option rather than a polished retreat: there's an outdoor pool, gym, restaurants and substantial meeting space. Google feedback strongly favors the service and buffets, while Expedia guests—including a repeat visitor in August 2026—praise helpful staff and cleanliness.

The rooms inspire less consistent feedback than the public facilities. Tripadvisor's much smaller review sample raises concerns about upkeep and housekeeping, while a March 2026 Expedia review reports drainage trouble and a water interruption. These aren't the dominant experience, but they temper the recommendation. Confirm breakfast inclusion and airport-transfer arrangements directly, since published terms differ. We'd skip it for a special-occasion stay where consistently polished rooms matter most.

  • Best for: business travelers with East Legon meetings; conference attendees; travelers who value on-site dining and a gym

  • Watch out for: uneven room upkeep; occasional plumbing and water complaints; conflicting breakfast and transfer terms

  • Location: East Legon near American House; practical for local business, with airport journeys dependent on traffic.

  • Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with desks and free Wi-Fi; guest feedback on condition is mixed.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive on Google and Expedia, though Tripadvisor includes housekeeping complaints.

  • Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are a recurring strength, especially in recent Expedia feedback.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, restaurants, bar and extensive conference facilities.

  • Fees and surprises: The official site excludes breakfast from standard rates, while Expedia includes it; confirm transfers and extra-bed charges.
