Axel's take: 8.3/10

A dependable Fort Myers base with friendly staff, useful freebies and some room noise. a straightforward 3-star chain hotel near Bell Tower Shops, scored for what it is.

This straightforward 3-star Fairfield is a strong pick for a practical Fort Myers stay, rather than a beach vacation. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and the included hot breakfast; Booking.com feedback broadly agrees. Free parking, an outdoor pool and rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges make it convenient for families and work trips. Expedia lists a property-wide renovation completed in April 2024.

The trade-offs are mostly about expectations: this is an inland shopping-and-dining base, not beachfront, and Marriott provides no airport shuttle. Noise appears in both Tripadvisor and recent Expedia feedback, while some guests still find bathroom fixtures dated. Marriott schedules housekeeping every other day. We'd choose it for clean, comfortable basics, but light sleepers and travelers wanting daily servicing should weigh those limitations.

• Best for: business travelers with a car; families wanting breakfast included; shopping and dining convenience

• Watch out for: room-to-room and outside noise; housekeeping scheduled every other day; not beachfront; no airport shuttle

• Location: Near Bell Tower Shops and restaurants; a practical inland base rather than a beach stay.

• Rooms: Microwaves and mini-fridges included; generally comfortable, with some noise and dated-fixture reports.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, reinforced by repeated praise in 2026 Expedia reviews.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across Expedia and Booking.com.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, outdoor pool, fitness center and guest laundry; no indoor pool listed by Marriott.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking is complimentary; no airport shuttle, and housekeeping is scheduled every other day.
