St. Pete Beach’s main Gulf Boulevard stretch suits a beach holiday with restaurants and beach bars close at hand. Farther south, Pass-a-Grille changes the mood: its compact Eighth Avenue, small shops and shoreline walks make a convincing couples’ escape. Choose between the two deliberately rather than assuming their evenings and transport are interchangeable.

This is a beach-first stay with a possible city excursion, not an efficient Tampa sightseeing base. Pass-a-Grille is especially awkward without a car: SunRunner serves the main beach farther north, and the Freebee shuttle ended on September 30, 2026. Skip the southern end if you need spontaneous public-transport trips throughout the day.
