RumFish is a casual, family-focused 4-star resort on St. Pete Beach, not in Tampa itself. It's a strong pick if you want beach days with plenty to do: four pools, an adults-only option, aquarium dining and access to neighboring Island Grand's activities. Recent Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the beachfront setting and friendly staff. We'd choose it for an activity-filled family break rather than a luxury escape.
The rooms are the compromise. Across Expedia and Tripadvisor, guests describe aging furnishings and occasional maintenance issues; cleaning earns plenty of praise but isn't consistently faultless. The mandatory nightly resort fee and separate parking charge also make this less appealing if you won't use the activities. Some experiences cost extra, and lively poolside music won't suit everyone. We'd skip it for a quiet, polished couples' retreat.
