Personal service and private pools make this a standout, provided ocean swimming isn't essential. an ultra-luxury cliffside resort with private plunge pools, scored for what it is.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is an ultra-luxury cliffside resort that largely earns its reputation. Every accommodation has an ocean view and private plunge pool, but the stronger selling point is service: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise staff who remember preferences and make celebrations feel personal. Cleanliness draws similarly consistent praise. Hilton says its property-wide transformation, including all 112 accommodations, was completed in March 2026.

The biggest compromise is the beach: strong currents make it unsuitable for swimming. Exposed pool areas can also get windy, and restaurant spending attracts more criticism than room comfort; El Farallon’s setting is more consistently admired than its value. Check whether the quoted total includes the hotel’s service charge. It’s a strong pick for a pool-focused celebration, but we’d skip it if swimming in the sea is central to your trip.

• Best for: couples celebrating a special occasion; private-pool relaxation; luxury travelers wanting downtown access

• Watch out for: beach unsuitable for swimming; wind around exposed pools; expensive dining and added service charge

• Location: Secluded Pacific-facing setting through a private tunnel, within walking distance of downtown Cabo.

• Rooms: Renovated accommodations with ocean views and private plunge pools throughout.

• Cleanliness: Consistently strong praise for housekeeping and well-maintained grounds.

• Service: Personalized concierge and restaurant service are recurring highlights across guest reviews.

• Amenities: Oceanfront pools, spa, gym and kids club; the beach is for scenery rather than swimming.

• Fees and surprises: Official booking terms list a 15% service charge plus taxes; confirm inclusions in your total.
