Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong beach-and-pool pick if you want music, not quiet. a lively, full-service 4-star beach resort, scored for what it is.

Margaritaville is a lively, full-service 4-star resort in Fort Myers Beach, with easy access to the sand, nearby restaurants and nightlife. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want their beach holiday with a soundtrack. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, friendly staff and well-kept rooms; Tripadvisor guests also appreciate the location and dining choices. The pool, sunset terrace, spa and live entertainment give you plenty to do without leaving.

The trade-off is that relaxation here rarely means silence. Reviews across sites describe loud pool music, crowds and some uneven housekeeping or billing follow-up. The beach club also admits day-pass visitors. A daily resort fee and separate valet-only parking charge weaken the value. Nearby Fort Myers Beach Pier reconstruction brings additional daytime noise and occasional traffic delays. We’d skip it for a secluded escape or reliably quiet pool days.

• Best for: couples and friends who enjoy live music; beachgoers who want walkable dining; travelers who like an active pool scene

• Watch out for: loud music and day-pass pool crowds; daily resort fee and paid valet-only parking; nearby Fort Myers Beach Pier reconstruction

• Location: Central Fort Myers Beach location, convenient for the sand, restaurants and nightlife—not downtown Fort Myers.

• Rooms: Modern, coastal-style rooms earn strong praise; views and exposure to entertainment noise vary.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength in recent verified reviews, despite some reports of missed housekeeping.

• Service: Friendly staff are frequently praised; billing disputes and problem resolution receive less consistent feedback.

• Amenities: Pool beach club, spa, fitness center, several dining venues and live entertainment; day-pass visitors share the pool.

• Fees and surprises: Daily resort fee includes beach-club access and beach chairs with an umbrella, subject to availability; valet parking costs extra.
