Centro and República put historic São Paulo on your doorstep: the Theatro Municipal, landmark buildings and the streets around Copan make this a rewarding place to explore. República's metro connections are excellent, and the Arouche area has an established LGBTQ nightlife scene. Travelers who enjoy architecture and a less polished urban setting can get considerable value from staying here.
