Axel's take: 9.1/10

Standout service and spacious rooms make this a strong Jardins luxury pick. a discreet 5-star boutique hotel in São Paulo’s Jardins district, scored for what it is.

Emiliano is a discreet 5-star boutique hotel on Oscar Freire, best chosen for attentive service rather than sprawling facilities. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, comfortable beds and spacious rooms; cleanliness also earns strong marks across booking sites. With shops and restaurants close by, it’s a particularly strong base for travelers who want to explore Jardins on foot and return to a smaller, personal-feeling hotel.

The trade-off is a more limited leisure setup than some luxury rivals: there’s a spa with hot tubs, but no shared swimming pool—the Cubo Suite’s pool is private. A recent Tripadvisor guest also notes that some spaces show their age, despite an excellent overall stay. Breakfast inclusion depends on your booking, and valet parking costs extra. We’d skip it if pool time or uniformly fresh interiors are essential.

• Best for: couples seeking discreet luxury; shopping and dining in Jardins; business travelers who value personal service

• Watch out for: no shared swimming pool; some spaces show their age; breakfast and valet may cost extra

• Location: Oscar Freire puts Jardins shopping, cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance.

• Rooms: Spacious, comfortable rooms and excellent bedding draw praise; some interiors show age.

• Cleanliness: Strong guest scores across Booking.com and Expedia, with no recurring cleanliness concern in the reviews examined.

• Service: Personal, attentive staff are the clearest and most consistent strength across guest reviews.

• Amenities: Cena restaurant, Santapele spa, hot tubs and fitness facilities; no shared swimming pool.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; valet parking, spa treatments and pet stays carry additional charges.
