Axel's take: 8.7/10

Strong service and skyline dining make this a standout, though lobby renovations complicate current stays. a five-star city hotel in Jardins, one block from Avenida Paulista, scored for what it is.

Tivoli Mofarrej is a five-star city hotel in Jardins, one block from Avenida Paulista, and a strong pick for attentive service and skyline dining. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the staff, cleanliness and breakfast; Seen’s rooftop restaurant is a particular draw. It delivers convincing luxury, with an outdoor pool and Anantara Spa rounding out the facilities.

The immediate catch is lobby renovation, scheduled October 5–November 5, 2026; Expedia also lists the front desk as affected, with work during business hours. Beyond that, recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests flag slow elevators at busy times, while some find room finishes short of five-star expectations. We’d choose it for location and hospitality, but skip it during the works if an undisturbed luxury setting matters most.

  • Best for: business travelers near Paulista; couples who enjoy rooftop dining; city breaks with spa time

  • Watch out for: lobby and front-desk works through November 5, 2026; elevator waits at busy times; some rooms show wear

  • Location: Jardins address one block from Paulista, with MASP about five minutes away on foot.

  • Rooms: Entry rooms start at 29 square meters; comfort earns praise, but some guests report tired finishes.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional maintenance complaints.

  • Service: Helpful, personable staff are among the most consistently praised features.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, Anantara Spa and Seen rooftop dining; the pool is modest rather than resort-sized.

  • Fees and surprises: Valet parking costs extra; check breakfast inclusion and service charges. Lobby works are scheduled through November 5, 2026.
