RDU Airport & Morrisville
airport stopovers · business corridors · international dining trips · road connections
7.8/10
The highest access score favors flight-led trips; preconfirm airport transfers and do not assume nearby terminals are walkable.

Around Airport Boulevard, Slater Road and the adjoining Morrisville business corridors, the appeal is practical: airport access and connections to Research Triangle Park. Morrisville also has worthwhile international dining, but that broader town experience should not be confused with having a walkable restaurant neighborhood beside every airport-side address. This is a functional stopover rather than a destination-led stay.
- Best for
- travelers on a budgetbusiness trips and conventions
- Skip it if
- You want a neighborhood atmosphere or sightseeing on foot; You are staying several nights mainly for leisure
- Getting around
- Routes 100, 700/705 and 800 meet at the Regional Transit Center, not every property; use a preconfirmed property shuttle or taxi from RDU, with the public RDU Shuttle serving the transit center.
- After dark
- Treat evenings as airport logistics and a planned meal, rather than expecting a neighborhood night out.
