Mill Avenue combines ASU's campus, cafés and restaurant patios with access to Tempe Town Lake. Light rail and the streetcar make this one of the Valley's more practical places to stay without driving every day. The ASU Art Museum adds a worthwhile cultural stop, and the lake gives families space beyond the restaurant streets.

- Your priority is destination nightclubs; You want a secluded, consistently quiet retreat
- Getting around
- Walk Mill Avenue, the lakefront and nearby campus; A Line stops at Mill/3rd and Veterans Way/College, with S Line streetcar connections. From PHX, transfer from Sky Train to A Line at 44th/Washington; from AZA, driving is simpler.
- After dark
- Expect restaurant patios and student or event crowds, but not a reliably packed party strip; recent locals describe noticeably quieter stretches.
