A strong Biltmore base for comfortable rooms and dining, less convincing for pool-focused escapes.
The Camby is a renovated upscale city hotel, not a sprawling desert resort. We’d pick it for a business trip or a weekend built around restaurants and shopping: Biltmore Fashion Park is across the street, and Yellowbell and Cartel coffee give you good reasons to stay downstairs. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and welcoming staff, with the valet team earning particular credit.
The trade-offs are practical rather than deal-breaking. Parking is valet-only and charged, while some guests describe room-assignment mix-ups and uneven problem handling. More importantly, Tripadvisor guests in September 2025 and February 2026 reported the rooftop pool being unavailable for private events. Confirm access if swimming matters. It’s a strong city base; we’d skip it for a getaway centered on guaranteed pool time or faultless luxury service.
