A purpose-led northern base without a nightlife crawl; distinguish Windsor Center from the separate business strips.

Windsor works best when your itinerary points north: a flight from Bradley, meetings around Day Hill Road, or a road trip using I-91. Historic Windsor Center has the town green and railway station, but the Kennedy Road and Day Hill Road business strips feel quite different. Windsor is also distinct from Windsor Locks, where Bradley is located.
- Best for
- business trips and conventionsa quiet stay
- Skip it if
- This is primarily a Hartford sightseeing trip; You need a railway station within an easy walk
- Getting around
- Bus 34 serves Kennedy Road and 36 serves Day Hill Road; trains stop separately in Windsor Center; BDL is simplest by car, while rail access requires a bus-24 transfer at Windsor Locks.
- After dark
- Plan a specific restaurant rather than a nightlife crawl; Windsor Center and the business strips are separate destinations.
- Where to look
- Corporate Drive near Day Hill Road. Stay around this office district when meetings and I-91 access matter more than a walkable town-center stay.Windsor Station. Start here for the town-center feel and rail access; the corporate district is a separate journey.
