8.5/10
The easiest first-visit base, provided you choose your street carefully.
The strongest access, doorstep choice and hotel scores put it first, backed by warehouse character, but value is weak and nightlife can disturb sleep.

Stay near Union Station if you want Denver to work without a car. Wynkoop and Wazee streets put historic warehouses, cafés and dinner spots on your doorstep, with Coors Field and Larimer Square an easy walk away. This is our strongest all-round base for a first visit or a sports weekend.
The catch is nightlife noise: Market Street's bar blocks and ballpark crowds are not restful neighbors. Choose your street carefully rather than assuming all downtown feels alike. Skip LoDo if you want residential calm, or if most of your plans involve the Botanic Gardens and east-side neighborhoods.

- Skip it if
- You need reliably quiet nights; Most plans are in eastern Denver
- Getting around
- Walk around LoDo; Union Station has buses and the direct DEN A Line, taking about 37 minutes; FreeRide connects along 16th Street.
- After dark
- Expect busy bars and louder crowds around Market Street and the ballpark, especially on weekends and game nights.
