Axel's take: 8.7/10
Refreshed rooms and standout hospitality make this a strong Akasaka base. a large, renovated 5-star business hotel in Akasaka, scored for what it is.
This large 5-star business hotel in Akasaka is a strong pick for polished service and comfortable sightseeing between meetings. Its room transformation was unveiled in February 2025, making older complaints about dated interiors less useful. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, helpful staff and breakfast; Tripadvisor guests are especially enthusiastic about the Club Lounge. We'd shortlist it for dependable luxury rather than intimate boutique character.
The trade-offs are scale and room choice: Classic kings measure 28 square meters, modest for this class, and bathroom layouts vary. Nearby subway entrances are convenient, but reaching the Ginza Line platforms takes additional walking. The outdoor pool is seasonal and weather-dependent, not a year-round luxury amenity. We'd skip it if sprawling entry-level rooms, guaranteed swimming or a small-hotel atmosphere matter most.
