#7 of 9 hotels in Vasastan by Axel's take. Vasastan is #5 of 8 places to stay in Stockholm. The best hotels in Vasastan, ranked · Where to stay in Stockholm

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A comfortable Vasastan base with excellent breakfast, but room condition varies. a large 4-star hotel with a separately charged spa in Vasastan, scored for what it is.

Elite Palace is a large 4-star in Vasastan, and we'd pick it for a comfortable neighborhood stay rather than doorstep sightseeing. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the breakfast, helpful staff and comfortable beds, while cleanliness scores are reassuring overall. Nearby rail connections and the airport bus make getting around practical. Vana Spa adds a proper pool, hot tub and saunas, not just a token wellness room.

The catch is consistency: Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews describe some bedrooms as dated, with worn furnishings and small bathrooms. Check your room category carefully; the hotel also sells windowless rooms. Spa access costs extra unless included in your package, and children's swimming hours are restricted. We'd skip it if you want uniformly fresh interiors, an included pool or the main sights within an easy stroll.

  • Best for: couples planning a spa-and-city break; business travelers; visitors happy using public transport

  • Watch out for: uneven room condition; some categories are windowless; spa costs extra unless explicitly included; restricted children's swimming hours

  • Location: Vasastan restaurants and useful transport nearby; not in the main sightseeing core.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds, but size and condition vary; confirm whether your category has windows.

  • Cleanliness: Generally strong guest ratings, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength across booking sites.

  • Amenities: Breakfast buffet, Panza restaurant, Bishops Arms pub, and Vana Spa with pool, saunas and a large gym.

  • Fees and surprises: Spa admission and garage parking are extra; reserve both ahead and check package inclusions.
