#3 of 5 hotels in Solna & Arenastaden by Axel's take. Solna & Arenastaden is #8 of 8 places to stay in Stockholm. The best hotels in Solna & Arenastaden, ranked · Where to stay in Stockholm

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A comfortable, well-connected Solna base, but don't assume the spa is included. a modern 4-star business hotel beside Ulriksdal station in Solna, scored for what it is.

This modern 4-star in Solna is a strong pick if you want comfortable accommodation and easy train access rather than a central Stockholm address. Ulriksdal station is practically next door, with central Stockholm roughly ten minutes away by commuter train. Recent Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, welcoming staff and breakfast. We'd choose it for business trips or a city break where taking the train is no hardship.

The main catch is the pool: it's part of Viitalize spa, not an automatically included hotel amenity. Marriott advertises limited weekday access for eligible direct bookings; otherwise, check your package and expect an extra charge. Children have restricted swimming hours. Some guests report railway noise or inconsistent housekeeping, although the overall cleanliness picture is positive. Skip it if you want sightseeing and lively streets outside your door.

  • Best for: business travelers in Solna; city-break travelers happy using trains; Strawberry Arena visitors

  • Watch out for: spa and pool access may cost extra; restricted children's swimming hours; possible railway noise in track-facing rooms

  • Location: Beside Ulriksdal commuter station; convenient for trains, but outside central Stockholm.

  • Rooms: Modern and generally comfortable; light sleepers should request a room away from the railway.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, with some recent complaints about housekeeping frequency and thoroughness.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, particularly in recent Expedia reviews.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, gym and Viitalize spa with pool and saunas; children's spa access is restricted.

  • Fees and surprises: Verify breakfast and spa inclusions; Marriott lists parking off-site rather than at the hotel.
