Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong family beach pick, provided you check room categories and package inclusions. A full-service beachfront suite resort geared toward families, not luxury seekers, scored for what it is.

Paradise Village is a large, family-focused beachfront suite resort in Nuevo Nayarit, rather than downtown Puerto Vallarta. We'd pick it for a practical beach holiday: suites have kitchens, the pools have alligator-shaped slides, and shops are nearby. Recent Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the beach, cleanliness and friendly staff. It delivers more convincingly on family convenience than polished luxury.

The main caution is knowing exactly what you've booked. Room-only and all-inclusive plans coexist, and recent guests describe confusion over inclusions and extra charges. Some Tripadvisor reviewers also report tired rooms and pushy timeshare approaches, although the overall guest picture remains positive. We'd skip it for a sleek, adults-focused escape. The hotel listed Uxmal pool and suite renovations for August 3–29, 2026; completion remains unconfirmed, so check directly.

• Best for: Families wanting pools and beach time; Longer stays with kitchen facilities; Travelers who prefer resort convenience

• Watch out for: Room-only versus all-inclusive confusion; Some tired rooms and timeshare approaches; Confirm Uxmal renovation completion

• Location: Beachfront in Nuevo Nayarit, with nearby shops; downtown Puerto Vallarta requires a separate trip.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites suit families; some recent guests criticize older rooms and beds.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and recent Expedia reviews.

• Service: Restaurant staff receive frequent praise; front-desk and concierge experiences are less consistent.

• Amenities: Pools with slides, beach facilities, restaurants and spa; verify which activities your plan includes.

• Fees and surprises: Deposit required; not every booking is all-inclusive. Confirm extras and the status of Uxmal works.
