Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong pick for oceanfront apartment living and friendly service, away from downtown bustle. a traditional mid-range beachfront condo resort, scored for what it is.

Lindo Mar is a traditional mid-range beachfront condo resort, not a basic two-star hotel. Its kitchen-equipped suites and ocean-facing balconies make it a strong pick for travelers who want room to settle in. Tripadvisor and recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise the staff, sea views and La Playita restaurant; cleanliness also earns strong marks. We'd choose it for a relaxed, self-catering stay rather than luxury polish.

The trade-off is location: Conchas Chinas puts you beside a small, rocky beach rather than in the downtown dining and nightlife action, so budget for rides into town. Skip it if you want expansive sands or contemporary resort styling. Expedia listed pool and hot-tub closures through October 1, 2026; that date has passed, but confirm reopening before booking if those facilities matter.

  • Best for: couples seeking a quieter beachfront stay; families wanting kitchens and separate bedrooms; longer-stay travelers

  • Watch out for: small, rocky beach; rides needed for downtown outings; confirm pool and hot-tub reopening

  • Location: Beachfront in Conchas Chinas, south of downtown; better for relaxing than walking between nightlife spots.

  • Rooms: Traditional Mexican-style suites with full kitchens, living areas and ocean-view balconies.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, including repeated praise from 2025–2026 Expedia guests.

  • Service: Friendly, attentive staff are a consistent strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

  • Amenities: La Playita restaurant, outdoor pool, hot tub and gym; verify pool and hot-tub availability.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists an incidental deposit and free self-parking; its pool and hot-tub closure notice ended October 1, 2026.
