Axel's take: 8.0/10

A strong pool-and-marina pick, provided you can forgive dated rooms. A mid-range beachfront timeshare resort in Marina Vallarta, scored for what it is.

Club Regina is a mid-range beachfront timeshare resort, strongest on pool days, roomy suites and easy walks to Marina Vallarta restaurants. We'd pick it for a relaxed family break rather than a polished luxury escape. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the clean surroundings, friendly staff and well-kept pools; kitchen-equipped room categories make longer stays practical.

The catch is uneven room condition: dated furniture and maintenance complaints recur, while recent Accor guests also describe slow restaurant service. Confirm your exact room category and view rather than relying on the best suite photos. There is a mandatory resort fee, parking costs extra, and checkout is at 10 a.m. August 2026 guests reported beach closures because of crocodile activity; current swimming access needs checking. We'd skip it if fresh interiors, consistently slick service or dependable ocean swimming are priorities.

• Best for: Families wanting kitchen-equipped suites; Longer stays near marina restaurants; Travelers who prioritize pools over polished interiors

• Watch out for: Dated rooms and uneven maintenance; Mandatory resort fee and early checkout; Reported crocodile-related beach closures

• Location: Beachfront in Marina Vallarta, near the airport and walkable to marina dining rather than downtown sights.

• Rooms: Studios and larger suites differ substantially; confirm kitchen facilities, balcony and view before booking.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, with Expedia cleanliness rated 9.0 out of 10.

• Service: Friendly staff earn frequent praise, but recent reviews flag restaurant delays and inconsistent front-desk handling.

• Amenities: Two outdoor pools, a children's pool, gym, restaurants and activities; confirm current ocean-swimming restrictions.

• Fees and surprises: Mandatory resort fee, paid parking and breakfast, and 10 a.m. checkout; management acknowledged unit upgrades in June 2026, but completion is unverified.
